Hardee banned his nephew from seeing Lilly. In despair, the young man committed suicide and it is believed that Lilly may have been killed. The young lovers are believed to haunt the inn.
Guests and staff alike have reported eerie occurrences, from disembodied footsteps echoing through the halls to flickering lights and unexplained cold spots. One of the most famous spirits said to roam the inn is that of Lilly.
Despite its ghostly reputation, the St. Francis Inn continues to welcome visitors with open arms, offering a unique blend of history, hospitality, and a hint of the supernatural.
